Bronson earns podium finish with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Ocala Speedway

Unloading at Ocala (Fla.) Speedway for the longest stretch of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Speedweeks, Kyle Bronson joined a field of 36 Super Late Models for the first of five nights at the facility.

Bronson opened up the week with finishes of 15th and 21st in the $7,000-to-win openers before finding a strong run on the first Lucas Dirt points night on Thursday. Kyle picked up a heat race win and started on the pole of the 40-lap main event where he wound up on the podium in third. He trailed Hudson O’Neal and Devin Moran while Ricky Thornton Jr. and Tim McCreadie completed the Top-5.

Friday’s action was canceled due to the threat of severe weather. Kyle ended the week with an eighth-place finish in the $25,000 finale.
