Kyle Bronson opens Speedweeks with Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles Speedway
After cold weather pushed back the season opener, Kyle Bronson joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Friday afternoon at Golden Isles Speedway (Waynesville, Ga.) to kick off Speedweeks.
With a stacked 44-car field on hand, Bronson qualified 11th-fastest in his group before grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. Kyle started from the seventh-row in the $12,000-to-win feature and brought home a 14th-place finish.
Inclement weather and an unfavorable forecast forced track and series officials to cancel the final two rounds of the Super Bowl of Racing on Saturday and Sunday.
